About Nicky

My studio in Maleny is where I enjoy making beautiful colourful creations for my home and to share. I design and make all of my Leadlight work and have been doing so on and off for nearly 36 years.

I started Leadlighting at 16 with my Dad. He gave me a beautiful Leadlight lampshade for my Birthday and I have been hooked ever since. I did more formal study to master the art but mostly I am self taught. I really enjoy the process of designing and the creativity of Stained Glass work, from the initial pencil drawing to a wonderful colourful finished product. I absolutely love colour and am known for having a house with only one white wall!

I am inspired by the area that I live. I have the amazing Glasshouse Mountains and the Sunny Coast right at my doorstep. You can see this reflected in my work. Please contact me if you have your own ideas that you want to see made into Leadlight and I will see if I can help.

Please be aware that Leadlight is very hard to photograph and what you receive can look slightly different to the photographs on the website. You will see imperfections in the glass, this is very normal and part of the individual appeal of each piece.
